Mark Warburton, David Weir and Frank McParland have started legal proceedings against Sevco to safeguard their pay-offs.
On Friday night the cash strapped Ibrox club announced the resignation of their three man management team- which was news to the three men involved.
Having signed new contracts in July 2016 it seemed highly unlikely that they would write off two and a half years of wages when clearly no other club would be interested in their services.
According to influential blogger Phil MacGiollaBhain the Sevco board have now been notified that the decision to dispose of last years heroes will be challenged in court.
This phantom resignation stroke by King is starting to look like a massive own goal.

Paying the contracts off in full could cost upto £2m with further payments potentially due for the comments made by Dave King in a follow up statement.
The South African based criminal accused Warbo, who will soon be trying to get a job again as a city trader, of leaking details of confidential board meetings to the media.
Sevco already have two expensive court cases coming up in March, if Warbo and co manage to get their salaries ring fenced in court it would place a major question mark over the tribute act’s ability to meet payroll.
