Brendan Rodgers has given his first hint towards 10-in-a-row.

Last night’s 1-0 win over Aberdeen put the hoops 25 points clear of second placed Sevco and 27 ahead of Derek McInnes’ side who have a game in hand.

Celtic look certain to clinch the title in March- with the March 12 visit from Sevco looking more and more likely- with Rodgers thinking way, way beyond this season’s league flag.

Speaking to the club website he said: “We’re 27 ahead of Aberdeen, 25 ahead of the others and what we’re trying to create is an attitude for the next four or five years and beyond. That means we have an obligation to play well and win games.

You can’t ask any more of what they’re doing at the moment. You look at their energy in the game to press, to defend was fantastic, but win the next game is always the target.”

The win over Aberdeen took Celtic’s unbeaten start to the season upto 27 matches consisting of 26 wins and 1 draw.

Even without Moussa Dembele, Leigh Griffiths, Stuart Armstrong and Tom Rogic Celtic were too strong in every area for an in-form Aberdeen side.

Dedryck Boyata headed the only goal of the game with the defender the latest player to respond to Rodgers personal approach to management.

Up until the winter break the Belgian had played in only one match, since returning from Dubai Boyata has played in four matches, scored two match winners and helped keep four clean sheets.
