Brother Pedro has already signed up to the Sevco spin machine.

Caixinha was accompanied to Celtic Park yesterday by James Traynor who appears to have effortlessly switched the scripts over to Mark Warburton’s successor.

In November, standing alongside Dave King, Warbo explained to shareholders the difficulties of managing the biggest club in Scotland. King warned the former city trader of the consequences of failing to finish a strong second having made a mess of ‘#goingfor55’.

This morning in a serious of carefully scripted interviews for the club’s in-house television channel the man who was last week managing the fifth best club in Qatar outlined his plans for the third best team in Scotland.

We are talking about a worldwide club. It’s a massive club – the biggest club in Scotland,” he said for the benefit of the gullibles. “It’s one club that is fighting to get on top again, and we know we are going to get on the top.

That is what we are here for, and the challenge is to help the club, to rebuild that path, the history and the glory – it’s the main reason that brought us to this challenge.”

With what’s reported to be a three and a half year contract Brother Pedro will be behind Warbo in the queue for a pay-off when the inevitable happens.

Sevco’s dire financial position means that season ticket money is the main source of income with the sales drive for next season underway to a coach for whom the term journeyman would be a massive compliment.
