Two games into his ‘regime’ the arrogance of Pedro Caixinha has already come unstuck.

The smooth talking Sevco boss has been told to lay it on thick with his knowledge of Scottish football and has overdosed when it comes to discussing his opponents.

No stone is left unturned as the fifth best coach in Qatar explains every detail about his opponents except the pre-match meal of the kit manager.

Brother Pedro explained on Thursday that Motherwell would play similar to Hamilton Accies who were beaten 4-0 in the first match in charge for Jose Mourinho’s best mate.

Motherwell proved more than a match for the best squad in Scotland with Fir Park boss Stephen Robinson taking note of Caixinha’s arrogance and using the words to great effect.

I read in Pedro’s press interviews that we were going to lie back and we were coming to get beat, that was never the case for us,” the Motherwell boss said.

“We played three up front all the time and were tactically really good. The boys followed it to the letter. We’re really disappointed we haven’t come away with three points.”

Motherwell striker Scot McDonald added in the Sun: “They started really well under the new boss against Hamilton, and he was making noises before the game saying he was going to put the fear into us.

It can work for you, but we took the positives out of what he said, and we came here and asked questions of them.

They didn’t know how to cope, as you saw at half-time when he had to change it.”

Tomorrow Brother Pedro will be explaining Kilmarnock’s season to date in great detail.
