BBC Scotland have claimed that Sevco enjoyed 47% possession during Celtic’s 5-1 rout at Ibrox.

The spin of the state broadcaster has never been difficult to spot with the legacy of James Traynor’s recruitment policy obvious for all to see across the sports department.

Pundits such as Derek Ferguson and Steven Thompson add absolutely nothing to any debate with Barry Ferguson being eased into the studio after failing to make the grade in management with Clyde.

At Ibrox yesterday Celtic totally dominated the match in every single area but according to the BBC the bhoys just edged out possession by 53-47.

In terms of shots it was 18-7 in Celtic’s favour with shots on targets working out at 7-1 for the hoops according to the BBC stats man.

Over at the SPFL website things weren’t much better.

According to the SPFL website Sevco had six shots at goal, all of them on target. Off the top of my head I can remember Kenny Miller shooting wide just before half time while Martyn Waghorn headed narrowly wide midway through the second half.

Somehow someone at the SPFL recorded six shots on target for Craig Gordon to deal with while the BBC made it only one.

One stat that no-one can argue with is that Celtic won 5-1.
