The obsessive Pedro Caixinha is in danger of losing the Sevco dressing room before he has had the chance to win them over!

Yesterday the fifth best coach in Qatar told the club’s TV channel how he was ashamed by the performance the players turned in at Hampden against Celtic.

A month earlier the same players were heroes with Graeme Murty given legend status for securing a 1-1 draw at Celtic Park.

After absolving himself from the Hampden surrender Brother Pedro announced that the pre-season training would start on June 1- nine days after the final match of this season.

According to a report in the Daily Record that move went down like a red balloon- especially with Lee Wallace and Joey Garner who are due to get married but not to each other.

Mark Warburton had announced that everyone would get a three week summer break assuming that their season ended with the final SPFL match on May 21 but Caixinha has now gone back on that promise triggering a dressing room revolt and HR nightmare.

Sevco’s first game of next season will be a Europa League first round qualifier on June 30 assuming that the SFA award them a licence.

Even if he backs down on cutting short their holidays there is bound to be bad feeling towards the coach who dropped the Wednesday day off almost as soon as he arrived to give the players a six day week.

As he ingratiates himself to the fans working on his image the fifth best coach in Qatar looks to have already lost the dressing room with his term in charge fatally holed below the water line.

With a three year contract Caixinha will be as difficult to dump as Warbo while all but three of his squad, the exceptions being Kenny Miller, Clint Hill and Pip Senderos, are sitting on long term contracts.
