As Pedro Caixinha shuffles the tumblers to ‘restore’ glory at Ibrox there is one document that will be giving him and the company nightmares- the contract list.
After being outclassed at Hampden on Sunday the fifth best coach put on his best gear to attend the club’s Player of the Year award ceremony at the Hilton Hotel. Like the players earlier in the day the timing of the event wasn’t the best.
Picking up the honours were Kenny Miller, Clint Hill and Emerson Hyndman- none of who are contracted beyond the end of the season!
Sitting at their empty tables are the players that Brother Pedro will have to improve into title winners or sell in order to bring in new faces.

Even the best coaches in Qatar will struggle to make something out of Andy Halliday, Jason Holt, Dean Windass, Micky O’Halloran and Josh Crooks. With contracts until 2020 they’ll be around for almost as long as Brendan Rodgers- whether the holding company vehicle and Brother Pedro survive that long is debatable.
The cry for an end of season clear out are already being heard, unless there is a secret billionaire outside of Motherwell it’s going to be a long tough summer for Pedro and his soon to be appointed Director of Football.
