Brendan Rodgers will be handed a £15m transfer budget for the summer.

According to a well sourced report in the Daily Mail the hoops boss will be given a budget almost three times the size of his 2016 budget.

Securing another Scott Sinclair or Moussa Dembele is the target with the club almost certain to start next season without Patrick Roberts.

The report claims that Rodgers is in the market for a right sided attacker, goalscoring midfielder and a centre-back.

Bringing in another centre-back will put a big question over the futures of Erik Sviatchenko and Jozo Simunovic who seemed to be forming a reliable partnership in the first half of the season.

Since January Dedryck Boyata has returned to favour partnering either Sviatchenko or Simunovic with Rodgers constantly seeking improvement in every area.

Kolo Toure started the first three Champions League group matches but is likely to step down from his playing role and concentrate on a new coaching role.
