Scott Sinclair believes that Brendan Rodgers new contract will attract more players to Celtic.

On Friday the Irishman committed himself to the club for the next four years to put a fresh spark into the title winning celebrations.

Sinclair is the greatest example of the Brendan factor with the goal scoring winger notching up 23 for the season after suffering the misery of relegation with Aston Villa 12 months ago.

The 27-year-old has had his career revived and spared the misery of midweek trips to Rotherham, Wigan and Bradford as he thrills 50,000 plus crowds every fortnight.

It’s great the gaffer has secured his future,” Sinclair told The Sun. “It gives the club stability.

I think him doing that will attract a lot of other players, especially coming from down south and looking up here.

You can see the way we play, the style we play and how we win games. I think it will be great for other players when they look at us.

I haven’t spoken to anyone personally about coming up, but when you bump into people they know how well we’ve been doing as a team.

The manager’s announcement was great for the whole squad. With the way we’re playing, there’s no surprise there’s talk of other teams coming in for the gaffer but I think he loves Celtic. He supported them as a kid, as he always tells us.

He’s also enjoying progressing players. He made a statement that what he enjoyed the most was getting players playing again and raising their game.”

Sinclair added: “For me personally, that’s the main thing he’s done, he’s got me back enjoying it again.

He’s given me the confidence you can see out on the pitch. And that goes for every player in the squad.

Some of the players haven’t really been talked about before, but everyone has raised their game now.”
