Kenny Miller believes that Sevco are two players away from being next season’s invincibles.

The veteran striker has signed a new 12 month contract and is fully signed up to the campaign to shift season tickets to the fans who watched their side humiliated twice within a week by the hoops.

With supporters starting to waken up to the boardroom shortcomings and the rookie manager now in charge Miller decided to draw comparisons with Celtic of 12 months ago.

While Ronny Deila had a team of title winners spectacularly underperforming Brother Pedro has a squad full of journeymen at the peek of their game.

Ignoring that troubling slice of reality Miller told The Sun: “Look what a manager and a few big name signings can do.

Better quality, higher quality signings and then reinvigorating the good players that were there.

We can look at that. No doubt there will be people coming and going in the summer, but if we can get that right, win early matches and breed confidence in what we are trying to achieve, it will set us up for a far better start to the campaign.

There is a hell of a lot we need to improve upon. Without sounding boring or repetitive, to win a league you need to be consistent.

They are signing players and are reinvigorating good players.

It doesn’t take a lot to achieve that but they are winning games right from the get go. They have hit the ground running — obliterating teams by scoring four and five goals.”

As he looks up the league table before today’s match with Hearts Miller will note that after 35 matches his club are 39 points behind Celtic.

While the hoops are one goal away from the 100 mark, his side have scored 51 times in the SPFL.
