Celtic continued their charge towards a record breaking season with a 3-1 win away to Aberdeen.

Remarkably all of the goals came in the first 14 minutes as the top two clubs in the SPFL went at it hammer and tongs.

Dedryck Boyata opened the scoring when he headed in a Leigh Griffiths corner, Stuart Armstrong then slammed a loose ball into the net from 10 yards out before Griffiths slammed home a 25 yard drive.

Celtic looked on course for a record win at Pittodrie but Jonny Hayes scored a spectacular goal in the 14th minute and it was game on.

Aberdeen pushed and pressed at Celtic with the absence of Scott Brown noticeable in the way the champions struggled to protect their central defenders.

With the Scottish Cup Final between the same two clubs just a fortnight away there is plenty for both management teams to ponder over ahead of the sixth meeting of the season between the clubs.
