Brendan Rodgers as three aims for next season- to make Celtic better, bring in better players and extend the domestic gap.

The Irishman was named on the shortlist for the Manager of the Year award but didn’t get into his current position by patting himself on the back.

Pushing forward and setting new targets has taken Rodgers from the crocked list at Reading to be rated among the best managers in the UK.

His time at Liverpool has proved difficult for Jurgen Klopp to emulate with critics south of the border starting to revalue his time at Anfield.

After declaring that managing Celtic has been his most rewarding time in management Rodgers is setting new goals for next season.

My aim is to make the gap even bigger next season, get in a few more players of quality that can help the group again, to push on to the next level,” he stated. “Every manager and every coach looks after their own club and I am sure every manager at the beginning of next season will be super-determined to play and work better and we will be no different.”

With a treble to aim for and four matches away from completing an unbeaten league campaign Rodgers has plenty to still to achieve with Celtic fans already looking forward and anticipating next season.
