Pedro Caixinha has turned to the victim card to keep Sevco fans onside.

Going into the final SPFL fixture of the season Sevco are nine points behind second placed Aberdeen and 39 behind Celtic.

By his own admission he took over the best squad in the country in March and has allowed the gap to the top two to widen.

Included in his ten results to date are humiliating home defeats from Celtic and Aberdeen.

None of the players that he inherited have shown any improvement in form with senior stars such as Lee Wallace and Clint Hill pulling sickies to avoid the end of season humiliations.

Aware that he is a footballing no mark and a source of fun for fans across Scotland Caixinha is trying to come across as ‘Mr Rangers- the true defender of the faith’ to deflect attention from a ship that appears to be sinking from within.

Outside these walls, people know this club is getting ready for action again,” he told the Daily Record matching the threats of Ally McCoist in 2012.

It’s being rebuilt and that’s maybe what is costing for some people. This work is not about being welcomed, it’s about work and I will keep working.

It’s not the first time I have been in a new environment, I just focus on my work. I do my work, represent and defend my club all the time. That’s all I do.

It’s different working here. It’s just a different culture, a different country.”

When he gets an email informing him of his resignation we’ll see how much the fifth best coach in Qatar defends the company he now loves.
