It was tapps aff at Pittodrie tonight as Celtic beat Aberdeen 3-1 in a Scottish Cup Final dress rehearsal.

After finishing their 36th SPFL match unbeaten Brendan Rodgers ordered his players to hand their tops over to supporters with a dozen lucky fans heading down the road with a special souvenir of the match.

Celtic looked like blowing Aberdeen away with a blistering start to the match with three goals in the first 11 minutes.

Dedryck Boyata headed home a Leigh Griffiths free kick, Stuart Armstrong slammed home a loose ball from 10 yards out before Leigh Griffiths slammed in an outstanding 25 yard effort.

Celtic looked on course for a record score but Jonny Hayes scored a wonder goal in the 14th minute and suddenly the Dons were back in.

The remaining 75 minutes was as tough a test as Celtic have had domestically all season as Aberdeen pushed for the second goal that would put the game in the balance.

Nir Bitton, James Forrest and Erik Sviatchenko were introduced during the second half as Celtic hit the 100 points mark and 99 goals.
