Mikael Lustig, Callum McGregor and Scott Sinclair are back in the Celtic side to face Aberdeen tonight.

After starting with Anthony Ralston and Mikey Johnston last week against St Johnstone Brendan Rodgers has brought back most of his big hitters to face the SPFL runners-up.

Although everyone will be playing down the significance of tonight’s match there is no getting away from the fact that it will have some bearing on the Scottish Cup Final.

A win for the home side would end Celtic’s unbeaten domestic run and inspire the home side while a fifth win on the bounce for the hoops against Aberdeen would set up the perfect finale to the season.

Following a wobbly spell after clinching the title against Hearts the hoops have stormed back to form with three consecutive wins, twice against Sevco and last week’s home win over St Johnstone.

Scott Brown will return from his suspension to face Partick Thistle on Thursday night at Firhill.

CELTIC: Gordon; Lustig, Simunovic, Boyata, Tierney; McGregor, Armstrong; Roberts. Rogic, Sinclair; Griffiths

SUBS: De Vries, Toure, Bitton, Gamboa, Sviatchenko, Forrest, Kouassi
