A day after his Scottish Cup Final came to a sickening halt Kieran Tierney got to meet his footballing hero.
He was rated and feared in equal measure- Bobo Balde.
It’s a strange match but from his earliest days KT has always named Bobo as his footballing hero.
Balde joined Celtic in 2001 just after the last treble was won- no doubt KT was doing wheelies in his pram to celebrate the achievement.
Alongside Johan Mjallby and Joos Valgaeren he formed a fearsome backline that took Celtic all the way to the final of the UEFA Cup in 2003.
His no-nonsense style isn’t normally the type of play associated with Celtic but as Jozo Simunovic knows the hoops fans love wholehearted defenders.
No one took liberties with a Celtic side that included Bobo, if KT had his hero alongside him yesterday Hayden Stockley might have controlled his arms a little better.
