Mikey Johnston made a huge impact on the Celtic support as he made his hoops debut against St Johnstone today.
The 18-year-old was given the daunting task of replacing Scott Sinclair in the starting XI but never looked out of place in his 57 minute appearance.
Johnston was an important part of the Celtic side that won the u-17 league last season and has made the difficult step up to the Development League which is an u-20 set up which allows overage players.
At Hampden at the end of April he played a big role in Celtic’s 3-0 SFA Youth Cup Final win over Sevco with today’s appearance a marker towards the future.

Confident first hour of football for Mikey Johnston who is subbed for Sinclair. Hope to see more of him as weeks/summer progresses.
