Pedro Caixinha slammed his dopey defenders despite watching Sevco beat Hearts 2-1.

The new Sevco boss is rapidly losing dressing room credibility with another public attack unlikely to go down well.

Recently released Clint Hill was voted man-of-the-match with Caixinha having six weeks left to build a new defence for the Europe League first round qualifier.

Despite being down to ten men early in the first half Hearts pushed Sevco all the way with Brother Pedro not fooled by back-to-back wins.

The momentum should have been on our side but there’s something causing us to struggle a lot – I’m talking about the second balls,” he told The Sun.

Since we arrived we have lost 70 per cent of the second balls and today we did it again.

We allowed Hearts to have their best moments of the game when they won the challenges and pushed us back. We couldn’t cope with that.

After the sending off we felt much more comfortable having the ball but we tried to change things in the second half, telling the boys to get the same intensity, pace and anger that we showed in the first half. We didn’t do that.

We made bad decisions as well. We had a lot of very good chances and too often we couldn’t see the player in the best position to score.”

Hill was informed in midweek that he won’t be given a new contract despite being generally recognised as being the most successful of Mark Warburton’s summer signings.

Pip Senderos also won’t have his contract renewed but every other first team player at Ibrox is under contract for next season with many sitting on a contract until 2020.

Sevco complete their campaign at home to Aberdeen on Wednesday before visiting St Johnstone next Sunday in the final match of the #goingfor55 campaign.
