Pedro Caixinha tried everything to deflect away from another miserable performance from the best squad in Scotland as they lost at home to Aberdeen.
Five wins out of ten sum up the ability of Brother Pedro and his squad as they trail Aberdeen by nine points with one fixture left in the SPFL season.
Dave King demanded a strong second after surrendering on #goingfor55 but despite their massive spending and a mountain of debt Sevco find themselves closer to the bottom of the table than the top.
Rather than deal with those issues Caixinha decided to revive a month old grudge and play the poor foreigner card to deflect away from his failings as he served up another Ibrox defeat.
Explaining his after match row with Derek McInnes he claimed in The Sun: “I was just saluting him and saying I didn’t understand the reason why he invited me to be received in his office and didn’t show up at the previous match.
“So I said that if you didn’t show up in the previous match, you are definitely not welcome to come to my office.
“It is a question of respect. If I am not being respected then, please, don’t show up.
“If he didn’t show up and I waited more than 15 minutes, what do you call that? What do you call that?
“I am a guy who came here to do my job. I know I am maybe the only foreigner but I have already passed through this situation in Mexico so I am used to it but I am here to win and here to defend this club.”
Having expressed opinions on almost everything since he took charge of Sevco it’s strange that Caixinha didn’t mention being snubbed at Pittodrie until after losing to Ibrox a month later.
While Sevco prepare for a first round Europa League qualifier on June 29 Aberdeen can prepare for net week’s Scottish Cup Final knowing that their Europa League campaign starts at the second round stage on July 13.
