The absurdity of banning live tweets from the Craig Whyte fraud trial was exposed when James Doleman used a break in proceedings to bring his 26,000 twitter followers upto date.
What purpose was served by a time delay is anyone’s guess as the detail of Gary Withey’s dealings with Dave Murray over the sale of the club were examined in court.
Withey was the lawyer acting for Whyte during the negotiations and was being questioned by the Advocate Depute for the prosecution.
Despite the ban on live tweeting Doleman was able to bring an update on the evidence given this morning which painted a familiar picture of Murray being desperate to sell regardless of what was involved.
