Twitter went into meltdown as Celtic prepared for a probable second round Champions League clash against Linfield.
The champions of north eastern Ireland will have to see off La Florita of San Marino to book their place in the second round against Brendan Rodgers side.
The draw virtually presents Celtic with a bye into the third round but a trip to Belfast on July 11 or 12 will be a nightmare in terms of security.
Linfield share a similar heritage to the clubs from Ibrox and although their anti-catholic signing policy is no longer in place it’s ethos still runs through the bulk of their supporters.
Regular friendlies take place between the two clubs with the Sevco squad posing for pictures with an outlawed loyalist band before winning a friendly match 7-0 last season.
Linfield v Celtic, in Belfast, on 12th July potentially.

Apart from the sectarian issues, that’s a really good draw. Not far to go, and effectively a bye into the next round.

For security purposes the first leg tie is likely to be given an afternoon or early evening slot with little prospect of Celtic taking tickets for the match.
Celtic Park is likely to host a near capacity crowd for the return match which is almost certain to be on the season ticket.
Video Celts would like to wish La Florita every bit of good luck in next week’s first leg trip to Windsor Park, Belfast.
