Celtic fans seemed delighted with Sky Sports decision to replace David Tanner with Hayley McQueen for the opening weekend of their Scottish football coverage.
McQueen took charge of a much more comprehensive presentation from Sky as they took in the Celtic v Hearts game on Saturday followed by Motherwell v Sevco 24 hours later.
Tanner has been the long time anchor man for their Scottish football coverage with his double act with Neil McCann less than popular with Celtic fans.

No sign of David Tanner on the telly. This weekend just gets better and better!

Hayley McQueen replacing David Tanner is the best thing to happen to the Scottish Premiership coverage since Dundee replaced Rangers.

In contrast to the comprehensive coverage from BT Sport the presentation from Sky seemed half hearted with token after match analysis.
On Saturday McQueen was joined by John Collins and Kris Commons to present coverage of Brendan Rodgers’ side powering to an opening day victory.
This weekend BT Sport get their first live Premiership coverage when they hitch up at Firhill for the Partick Thistle v Celtic match.
Last week Sutton announced that Ally McCoist was joining the BT Sport team but that has still to be confirmed by an announcement from the broadcaster.
