Celtic fans were furious with Willie Collum after he refused to send off Steven McLean for striking Kieran Tierney in an off the ball incident as St Johnstone drew 1-1 at Celtic Park.
St Johnstone played well on the day but carried a heavy slice of luck to survive a second half onslaught as Celtic laid siege on their goal.
Had the visitors been forced to play the last 20 minutes with just ten men it’s unlikely that they would have survived with Collum’s unique interpretation of the Laws of the Game infuriating the Celtic support.
Violent Conduct , making connection or NOT, is a straight Red Card which if had been other way around by any Celtic player he’d flash red

Willie collum was actually at his worst today. Made loads of mistakes clear to people further away than him. Something needs to be done

Take nothing away from At Johnstone. Thoroughly deserved their draw. Willie Collum is a disgrace though. Unbeaten we march ????????

Just when I think Willie Collum might have a hang of the refereeing game he goes and proves me to be massively wrong. #classiccollum

Willie Collum . Another example of why the SFA should not be involved in football

In a decade now of taking charge of top flight matches the Lanarkshire based referee again showed that he likes to be the centre of attention.
Whatever is going on in the game it seems that Collum has to step in with a baffling decision that riles managers and players.
Callum McGregor equalised for Celtic seven minutes after the McLean incident but the hoops had to settle for a point as Aberdeen took over as league leaders with full points from four matches.
