Chris Sutton could hardly contain his delight as Celtic booked a place in the group phase of the Champions League.
Brendan Rodgers side created a Champions League record with a 5-0 win over Astana to make next week’s return leg academic.
Sutton had a ringside seat at tonight’s match and was delighted by the way Rodgers’ side dismantled the champions of Kazakhstan.

It took the bhoys till the 32nd minute to break the deadlock when a Tom Rogic shot was touched into his own net by Evgeni Postnikov.
Scott Sinclair added a double either side of half time before late strikes from James Forrest and a deflection of Igor Shitov from a Leigh Griffiths shot completed a perfect night for the hoops.
With their group place secured Rodgers can go confidently into the transfer market with some sort of deal for Patrick Roberts the signing priority as far as most Celtic fans are concerned.
