Aidan McAdams endured a miserable night at Ibrox as Graeme Murty’s young starlets crashed to a 6-1 defeat to Leicester City’s u-18 side.

The Hamilton based keeper engineered a move from Celtic to Sevco last season and signed a bumper three year deal while blabbing about joining a club with great history.

After another season of embarrassment in the Development League the Ibrox hierarchy opted out of this season’s competition due to a cunning plan to set up matches against the best clubs in Europe.

Brighton and Leicester aren’t close to being among the best clubs in England but have been involved in glamour friendlies at Ibrox while Celtic’s u-19 squad take on Paris Saint Germain and Anderlecht before facing Swansea and Manchester United in the Premier League International Cup.

McAdams was picking the ball out of the net after just six minutes but fortunately Ryan Hardie equalised from the penalty spot after 20 minutes.

Scotland u-19 shot stopper Aidan was certainly kept busy in the second half as the Leicester kids banged five goals past him without reply. Conor Tee, who turned 17 in July bagged a hat trick.

Despite the humiliation McAdams and four of his fellow Murray Park starlets will join up with the Scotland u-19 squad next week for two friendlies against France.
