Celtic fans were delighted to welcome Kolo Toure to the club in the newly created role of Technical Assistant.
The former Ivory Coast defender will be involved in all areas of coaching with a few fans wondering if he could be drafted back into playing duties for defensive emergencies.
Toure joined Celtic on a season long playing deal last season and played a major role in the Champions League Play Off success over Hapoel Beer Sheva.
Good appointment. Would be happier if he was 10 years younger and still able to play though ????

In total he made 17 appearances for Celtic with the last one coming on May 21 when he appeared as a substitute in the 2-0 win over Hearts that completed the league campaign unbeaten.
There was speculation during the summer that he was looking to continue his playing career but that failed to materialise although he did accept a behind the scenes role with the Ivory Coast FA.
His attitude to training was often highlighted and used as a motivation to younger players- with his new role he can have a much more direct impact on the future Keiran Tierney’s and Tony Ralston.
