Kenny Miller has refused to back Pedro Caixinha in the war of words with Micky O’Halloran.

The on-loan St Johnstone star made a scathing attack on the Sevco boss claiming that he needed to do his own training stints because Caixinha’s sessions didn’t keep him sharp.

O’Halloran has scored more goals than anyone left behind at Ibrox but was savaged by Caixinha when the Ibrox chief was questioned about the success of players who had left Ibrox.

Miller has looked unhappy at a number of decisions made by the fifth best coach in Qatar and was put up by the Ibrox media machine to defend his boss.

He opted not to.

The training methods are pretty similar to everywhere else I’ve been anyway,” Miller replied in The Sun when given the chance to defend his boss.

Listen, everyone has their own opinions on how it should be done at a football club. How you should train, how you shouldn’t train.

At our place, if you are not playing, a lot of lads will do extra work.

Some methods, some systems, suit some people and don’t suit others. You can’t keep everyone happy.”

As he approaches his 38th birthday Miller is still an essential part of the Sevco plan with a contract that runs until the end of the season.

Miller has made no secret of his ambitions in coaching and is ready to take over as soon as results take another downturn.
