Neymar facing the boos

Neymar isn’t likely to feature on those lists of players that rate Celtic Park as the most atmospheric that they have played in.

Lionel Messi, Paolo Maldini, Xavi and Gianni Buffon just can’t get enough of playing in the famous Glasgow stadium but you can count out the £200m Brazilian who’ll be centre stage tomorrow night.

Despite Barcelona getting the red carpet treatment on their visits to Celtic Park Neymar has gone down like a lead balloon with his antics.

While Messi shrugs off plenty of over physical treatment his former team-mate would be rolling around at imaginary contact.

A full house will gather to see Brendan Rodgers’ side return to the top table tomorrow night but while PSG will be respected for their £400m strike force one element will be treated with contempt.

Booing does not bother me — it’s boring, but that’s it,” Neymar told The Sun.

If anybody thinks they can affect my game by booing then they are wasting their time. I have been booed enough times in enough stadiums for it not to even bother me.

What happened in any previous games with Celtic is not important now — I am not even at the same club any more.

I look at the game in Scotland as a chance to win three points and that is it. I am not interested about anything from the past.”

Italian referee Daniele Orsato, who was in charge of Celtic v Barcelona last season, will be the man in the middle tomorrow night.
