Brendan Rodgers has made wholesale changes to the Celtic side to face Kilmarnock with Mikey Johnston, Eboue Kouassi and Kristoffer Ajer in the starting XI.

Scott Brown and Mikael Lustig are completely rested from the squad while Moussa Dembele and Scott Sinclair are on the bench.

Avoiding defeat today will allow Rodgers’ side to match the 62 game unbeaten British record established by Willie Maley’s Celtic side a century ago.

The Celtic boss will will be more interested in recording a win to maintain Celtic’s three point advantage at the top of the table rather than settle for a draw.

After hitting top form for an hour away to Aberdeen on Wednesday Rodgers will be keen to maintain that standard with just one more game after today before the next international break.

With Bayern Munich just three days away the Celtic boss has picked his starting XI with one eye on the Champions League.

CELTIC: Gordon, Lustig, Bitton, Ajer, Tierney; Kouassi, Ntcham; Roberts, Rogic, Ntcham, Griffiths

SUBS: De Vries, Miller, Boyata, Armstrong, McGregor, SinclairDembele
