Stewart Regan has gone missing in action following Scotland’s latest failure on his watch.
On Saturday afternoon the former Yorkshire County Cricket chief was out on the streets of Ljubljana sharing pints and banter with the Tartan Army.
Scotland’s 1-0 win over Slovakia had encouraged Regan out of his bunker with the prospect of staff jollies to Russia to look forward to over the next nine months.
Ljubljana is a really stunning city and definitely a place to visit. Literally thousands of Scotland fans here enjoying the sunshine! pic.twitter.com/4V7EEV2iSi

Fair play to @StewartMRegan, Rod Petrie et al yesterday. They didn’t need to buy our group a beer or sit and engage with us, but they did.

After celebrating Leigh Griffiths’ goal it seems that Regan closed down his twitter account.
Last month the SFA chief executive was involved in an embarrassing twitter exchange over ticket prices for Scotland’s qualifier against Malta.
Regan took over as SFA chief executive in 2010 just as referees went on strike for no obvious reason.
Within his first year he awarded Rangers (IL) a licence to play in UEFA competitions despite having overdue social taxes outstanding.
As Rangers plunged into liquidation he warned of social unrest of a club from Ibrox wasn’t in the top division of Scottish football.
Since Regan quit Yorkshire they have been County Champions in 2014 and 2015.
