Brendan Rodgers is comfortable with Celtic closing in on more history.
Last season the Irishman led Celtic to just their fourth domestic treble but became the first manager to steer his side through the season unbeaten.
There were a number of highlights along the way with the team and players almost unrecognisable from the previous season.
The winning run has continued this term with the hoops three points clear at the top of the SPFL table, in the final of the Betfred Cup and looking like reaching the last 32 of the Europa League.
On Saturday Kilmarnock visit Celtic Park with the hoops just needing to avoid defeat to match the achievement of Willie Maley’s First World War side by making it 62 matches unbeaten.
Asked about that record Rodgers told The Sun: “I wasn’t aware of that. The only time a record was mentioned was when the other record was 26 and there was a bit at 23 and 24 and could we beat it.
“Once we got over the line we focused on the next game. To have no complacency and to win.
“That’s what they’ve done. It’s an incredible credit to the players and staff for the mentality to work like that.
“We should have scored more against Aberdeen but how we defended and pressed was a wonderful demonstration of football.
“There’s no fear. It’s my job to rotate the team, to surprise teams with how we play and players coming in and out.
“Our starting point is to work hard, press, be aggressive, be collectively good and after that we can play football.
“We’re all in tune so there’s no fear. I can understand why people might think we could drop points here but we coped with that.”
After the visit from Kilmarnock Celtic travel to St Johnstone on November 4 looking to create a new record of 63 domestic matches unbeaten.
