The Sun pulls Murray story

The Sun has decided to pull an incredible story told by Paul Gascoigne about David Murray.

Last night the former England midfielder was entertaining an audience at The Pavilion with tales from his playing days in-between outbreaks of anti-catholic chants and singing.

The nineties icon is now a figure of ridicule as he hawks himself around the country for various Q and A sessions where he appears to become more and more desperate for laughs, approval, money and alcohol.

Murray suffered a double leg amputation in his twenties following a car crash but has rarely discussed that life changing event.

Gascoigne showed no reluctance with The Sun reporting the incident then pulling the plug but not before it was across social media with even The Scotsman deciding to cover the ‘story’.

The Pavilion will host another evening with Gascogne tonight with publishers no doubt wary over what they can report from the event.
