Moussa Dembele is out of tomorrow’s visit to Motherwell.
The striker was on the receiving end of a brutal attack from Cedric Kipre in the 13th minute of Sunday’s Betfred Cup Final but played on till the hour mark.
While most of the media focus has been sympathetic to Kipre for his red card after fouling Scott Sinclair there has been little comment on his attack on Dembele.
In clear view of referee Craig Thomson he slid in over the top of the ball crunching into the lower leg of the French u-21 striker.
No Moussa Dembélé tomorrow for @celticfc. Ruled out with an ankle injury.

Speaking at today’s media conference to preview tomorrow’s trip to Fir Park Chris Davies revealed that Dembele will miss the next two matches against Motherwell and is also a doubt for Tuesday’s Champions League match with Anderlecht.
Leigh Griffiths will start tomorrow’s match with loan striker Odsonne Edouard moving onto the bench.
Willie Collum will referee tomorrow’s match with Kevin Clancy in charge for Saturday’s match at Celtic Park.
