Celtic fans have voted Artur Boruc as the best hoops keeper in the last 30 years.

In a Video Celts poll earlier this week the current Bournemouth keeper attracted 1,348 votes to edge out south coast rival Fraser Forster who polled 1,159 votes. Craig Gordon was a distant third.

While the celebrations for Lisbon have been high profile the current seasons marks the 30th anniversary of Celtic’s Centenary Double win.

Led by Billy McNeill’s return to the club the hoops responded in brilliant style to Graeme Souness to celebrate the club’s 100th birthday in style.

The last 30 years have brought an incredible variety of emotions for the Celtic support with an influx of foreign players adding to the traditional mix.

Within a decade that club was saved from liquidation by Fergus McCann then led to the final of the UEFA Cup by Martin O’Neill and Henrik Larsson.

The poll to find the Best Team of the Last 30 Years continues tonight with a vote for the best right-back with Mikael Lustig likely to be the man to beat.
