Derek McInnes has hit out at the media for driving a campaign linking him with a move to Ibrox.

For four weeks the Aberdeen boss has been bombarded with questions about a possible move to take charge of Sevco.

The grim finances at Ibrox has turned the tribute act into a manager’s graveyard with the three bears bailing out to leave Dave King and his NOAL investment engine to keep the lights on.

On Thursday Dons chairman Stewart Milne announced that his manager wasn’t leaving with McInnes following that up today as he attempted to preview his side’s trip to Kimarnock.

After their trip to Ayrshire Aberdeen face back-to-back clashes with Sevco in which McInnes will be in the spotlight.

Dozens of former Ibrox players have been explaining why a move to Ibrox would be a dream deal but after finisdhing nine points clear of the tribute act last season’s the former St Johnstone and Bristol City boss isn’t interested in a backwards move.
