Chris Sutton was almost left speechless by the latest SFA disciplinary farce.

So far this season the Compliance Officer has looked the other way at a number of controversial incidents missed by match officials.

Alfredo Morelos and Carlos Pena have got away with kicking out at opponents in incidents highlighted by television but yesterday the SFA opted to undo one of the most obvious and justified red cards of the season.

Last week against Kilmarnock Ryan Jack was seen to raise a knee then push out at Kirk Broadfoot who hit the deck in dramatic fashion.

The former Ibrox defender clearly over egged the incident but Jack’s intentions were clear and watched by referee Alan Muir and his assistant.

Yesterday an SFA panel decided that a caution was sufficient punishment which basically opens the door for every decision to be appealed and could possibly lead to a strike among match officials.
