Today’s defeat at Tynecastle didn’t come as a shock to the Celtic support- the scoreline and did.
In most recent domestic matches mistakes have gone unpunished with supporters seeing the massive gulf in quality when the team has been brutally punished in Europe.
Most weeks Dedryck Boyata will get away with misplaced passes out of defence- today he didn’t.
In most games when Jozo Simunovic mistimes a bouncing ball the opposition won’t be smart enough to take advantage.
Whenever Craig Gordon makes a bad judgement call it usually results in a consolation goal- today it resulted in a penalty that was scored.
????This has been coming for weeks! Lack of desire, slack play particularly passing was bound to tell eventually. Let’s hope it’s a wake-up call for All concerned. ????

Bar being outfought , we have had our defence torn apart by a bang average hearts team ravaged by injury . The undefeated run was great but this celtic team are no where as good as most think and it pains me to say , the light years ahead stuff is a myth

The wake up call that was needed by everyone at the club. The fans got the call a long time ago.

Absolutely shocking performance. Hearts more than deserved the win. Celtic woeful in defence. Celtic creating nothing up front. No urgency at all. Gutless. The defeat was coming though. In a way I’m glad it’s happened as it was telling on the team and performances.

Only James Forrest got close to pass marks in the Celtic side today.
On the bench Brendan Rodgers will probably regret not putting Kristoffer Ajer on at half-time but as he has shown in his time at the club he can be absolutely ruthless.
The unbeaten domestic run is over after 69 matches- by Saturday Celtic can be eight points clear at the top of the SPFL and on course for 7-in-a-row.
