Hartson reacts to Hearts defeat

|

John Hartson saluted Celtic’s 69 match unbeaten run rather than dwell on the 4-0 defeat at Tynecastle.

The manner in which the run ended was a shock but if truth be told over the last couple of months the unbeaten record has been under more and more pressure.

Twice Hibs have threatened the run while Motherwell were within a couple of minutes away from ending the run until Scott Sinclair equalised with a late penalty.

Hartson played in a few very successful Celtic sides and knows the magnitude of the run that ended today.

In reality the unbeaten run is a media toy- when they waken up in the morning Celtic are still unbackable to win the SPFL title and five Scottish Cup ties away from a successive treble.

Home wins over Partick Thistle and Aberdeen will take the gap at the top of the table to eight points and remind the rest of Scottish football that the title race is a marathon- not at afternoon at Tynecastle.
