Watching today’s draw with Hibs it was hard to come to any conclusion other than the Celtic players look done in.

With six more matches between now and the winter break Brendan Rodgers may have to dig deeper into his squad than anticipated.

Although the Irishman has a larger squad than any other Premiership manager the whole squad have had to prepare for every match.

Celtic have more European games coming up in 2018 and are likely to be underdogs in the Europa League betting odds.

So far this season Celtic have been involved in almost 50% more matches than the other clubs at the top end of the table.

Aberdeen and Sevco both made early exits from two cup competitions while Celtic went the distance in the Betfred Cup as well as playing in 12 Champions League matches.

The end of this month can’t come quickly enough for the hoops, they’ll be in the spotlight at home to Aberdeen and Sevco but trips to Hearts and Dundee will also be challenging.

With the unbeaten record under threat recently Rodgers’ side have shown great resilience, if they complete 2017 without defeat they’ll be deserving all the praise going.

During the summer there was less than six weeks between the Scottish Cup Final and first Champions League qualifier.
