Sevco reject Windass bid

Sevco have turned down a bid of £500,000 for Josh Windass.

The claim has been made by Sky Sports who earlier in the week claimed that Celtic had accepted an £18m bid from Brighton for Moussa Dembele.

Both clubs denied that yarn.

The grim state of finances at Ibrox is now an open secret with transfer dealing a farce such as when Barrie McKay’s value dropped from £6m to £500,000 over six months.

Sevco signed Windass from Accrington Stanley in the summer of 2016 for a nominal development fee believed to be around £130,000.

Moving on the big hitters such as Carlos Pena will be the main task of the January transfer window but with no prospect of stopping Celtic from winning the title any reasonable bid will be accepted to cut down costs and bring in much needed funds.

Sevco signed Joey Garner from Preston last summer with an offer for Windass possibly a way of balancing up the fee paid for the striker.
