Chris Sutton believes that things are going to get much worse for Graeme Murty.

Yesterday Kilmarnock made it back to back defeats for Sevco with the defeat at Rugby Park following the pattern of St Johnston’s win at Ibrox with the tribute act opening the scoring.

Not even the leniency of Willie Collum in refusing to yellow card James Tavernier and Declan John could save Sevco as a late double from Kris Boyd sent them to another defeat.

Murty now has a worse record than Pedro Caixinha and faces two difficult fixtures before the respite of the winter break.

I feel sorry for Graeme Murty, he’s been put in a position where he has had to take the job, he has been exposed,” Sutton told BT Sport.

It’s only going to get worse, the board have really hung him out to dry.

They’ve got Motherwell and Celtic coming up next and they could conceivably lose both those games and then there will be a month of carnage.”

On Friday Murty was all smiles as he accepted the job on a permanent basis but by full time on Saturday reality has sunk in as he watched his team outplayed by Kilmarnock.

The defeat leaves Sevco in third place 11 points behind Celtic and just three ahead of Hibs.
