Since Brendan Rodgers arrived at Celtic 19 months ago it has been virtually non stop with Champions League qualifiers virtually running into international commitments.
Tiredness was one factor in today’s defeat which is certainly justifiable when half the team were playing for Scotland against England on June 11 and back in Celtic action away to Linfield 33 days later.
Thoughts that Celtic may now be vulnerable are bound to surface this week but with Sevco unable to beat St Johnstone at home Aberdeen are the only genuine threat to a seventh successive title win.
If the hoops win two matches at home over the next six days their title lead will be eight points with every chance that a refreshed and reinforced team will return to action after the winter break.
