Celtic’s u-17 Christmas lunch featured a special live performance from Chris McKenna.

Without taking to the stage the teenager picked up the guitar and blasted out a brilliant version of Little Lion Man by Mumford & Sons featuring the line ‘It was not your heart but mine’.

The song is a favourite of the Spanish holiday resorts with McKenna making a big impression online although some of his team-mates seemed quite muted during the video.

Jimmy Johnstone was probably the most famous singing Celt, cutting a disc called ‘Passing Time’ during his playing days then recording ‘Dirty Old Town’ with Jim Kerr in his latter years.

McKenna and his team-mates are currently enjoying a winter break from fixtures but will continue to train through the festive period.

As well as playing in the u-17 league the squad are also involved in the Glasgow Cup which they’ll be looking to retain after last season’s 2-1 win over Sevco at Firhill.
