Celtic are still confident of signing Jack Hendry before the close of the transfer window.

Talks with Dundee have been on going throughout most of the day with personal terms agreed with the player.

Celtic had hoped to get the move for the 22-year-old wrapped up earlier but Dundee have had to be seen playing hard-ball for their fans.

Having agreed to the three way loan deal involving Scott Allan, Simon Murray and Scott Bain the Tayside club have been looking to bank £1m and insert some lucrative add on payments.

Questions marks over the future of Dedryck Boyata and Jozo Simunovic have kept Celtic at the negotiating table with Brendan Rodgers wanting Hendry into the club as quickly as possible.

A deal for £1m for Hendry will represent great business for Dundee who signed the defender on a free contract from Wigan in the summer although McCann won’t see much of that money in the summer transfer window.
