With the transfer window a week old the only departures from Celtic have been Regan Hendry and Kundai Benyu who have gone out on loan to Raith Rovers and Oldham Athletic.

Arriving, briefly, was Lewis Morgan who was back in Saint Mirren colours yesterday as his new team-mates arrived in Dubai.

With two additions secured Brendan Rodgers can concentrate his energies on bringing in quality additions while various levels of the club attempt to move players on and deal with outgoing business.

As things stand Celtic have a first team squad close to 30 players in total when Ryan Christie, Scott Allan, Nadir Ciftci and others are added up.

Joining the first team squad in the Dubai sunshine are a couple of the younger players from the Development Team who’ll have a chance to impress and put down a marker for the future.

As he deals with his fourth transfer window since taking over from Ronny Deila, Rodgers is putting more of a stamp on the squad.

Having mentioned a revolving door during January there was an expectation that a large volume of business would be completed but that all depends on the speed of that door.

The final week of the window looks like being hectic as Rodgers decides who he can do without with those remaining there to compliment the selective arrival of new faces.
