Bobby Madden appears to be taking the title of Scotland’s leading referee.

On Saturday the Lanarkshire based whistler will take charge of the Celtic v Hibs match, his second Celtic appointment in three matches after taking charge of the December 30 game against Sevco.

Tonight Madden will referee the Sevco v Aberdeen match as he takes charge of consecutive Premiership matches involving Graeme Murty’s side.

Willie Collum and Craig Thomson are absent from tonight’s Premiership fixtures although Collum will be in charge of Saturday’s match between Hearts and Motherwell.

Thomson will referee Celtic’s match against Hearts on Tuesday as the hoops look for revenge on their only domestic defeat since Brendan Rodgers took over as manager.

Prior to the visit of Sevco Madden’s last Celtic match was away to St Johnstone on November 4.

His previous Sevco appointment went back even further with the derby his first match involving the Ibrox club since the opening day Premiership win at Motherwell on August 6.
