Ryan McGowan has reminded one gobby Sevco fan of the long proud history of Chinese side Shandongs.
The former Hearts and Dundee United defender had the chance to join the journey in 2012 but unlike David Templeton decided to stay at Tynecastle.
Yesterday The Sun suggested that current Hearts defender John Souttar would be an improvement on the current Ibrox defenders with McGowan offering his view on twitter.
On Souttar;Plays every week, next to experience of Berra/Hughes,under Levein a top defender, he’s said is happy and confident,Eng teams showing interest!Feel is no need to leave that for another Scottish team who would only offer more money and a bigger crowd!Only my opinion

That proved too much for one Ibrox fan who was quickly informed of some uncomfortable FACTS! about what happened to his first football club.

Because Hearts accepted a bid and to let Ally McCoist know personally I wasn’t joining and my reasons why

While Templeton’s career crashed quicker than the price of shares in Sevco McGowan’s career has taken him to Chinese sides Henan Jianye and Guizhou Zhicheng as well as his current club, Al Sharjah who play in the Arabian Gulf League.
In 2014 McGowan was part of the Australian World Cup squad at the World Cup in Brazil, no Sevco players made it to those finals.
