The frenzy of excitement building up towards Jamie Murphy joining Sevco has been cruelly spiked by Sky Sports.
Claims that a £1.1m deal was close to being agreed between Sevco and Brighton seemed highly optimistic once the fluff of boyhood fan had been removed from the move.

Brighton paid Sheffield United £650,000 for the 28 year old in August 2015 with his current deal having 18 months left to run.
Even disregarding the chronic finances at Ibrox Brighton could easily pick up £2m for a player that was involved in 35 Championship matches last season as Chris Hughton’s side won promotion.
Anyone who read the Sevco accounts will know that there is no money to spend in January with Graeme Murty getting the scraps from any sales that can be completed this month.
Despite talk of offers coming in for James Tavernier and Josh Windass any business is likely to be completed late in the month with clubs holding back to take advantage of the cash crisis at Ibrox.
