Marc Crosas has saluted Scott Brown seven years after the Broony graced Ibrox.

The Catalan midfielder was in the stand with the Celtic fans when the midfielder scored a glorious equaliser allowing then ten men Celts to take Rangers (IL) back to the east end for a replay.

Crosas joined Celtic in August 2008, a year after Brown, but struggled to make his mark despite his undoubted class.

There were some outstanding performances but as Gordon Strachan was replaced by Tony Mowbray then Neil Lennon the former Barcelona and Lyon midfielder seemed to lose his way.

In contrast Brown went from strength to strength with one of Mowbray’s best decisions being to give the former Hibs midfielder the Celtic captaincy

That decision has been endorsed by Lennon, Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers with Brown an essential part of the successes enjoyed by each manager.

Crosas is currently playing in Mexico with Tampico Madero.
