Hurting Jambo Craig Levein has launched a fresh attack on Scott Brown.

The Hearts boss was unhappy with the challenge that led to Harry Cochrane being substituted as Celtic scored their third goal in Tuesday’s win over the Edinburgh side.

Levein used an interview with Radio Scotland to criticise Brown and continued with that theme at today’s media conference.

I think everybody should get a little bit more protection from Scott Brown,” The Sun reported.

The Celtic skipper collided with Cochrane 20 yards from his own goal with none of the Hearts players having any complaints about the challenge.

Sixteen-year-old Cochrane was widely praised for his performance in the 4-0 win over Celtic at Tynecastle in December but found the going tougher at the home of the champions.

While Levein is looking for more protection from Brown it seems that the former Scotland boss has overlooked the way his players picked out Kieran Tierney for some extra physical treatment.

Following the midweek fixtures Hearts are seven points behind Hibs in the Premiership despite restoring the natural order by beating their city rivals in a Scottish Cup tie.
